Cultivating Impermanence
This magazine documents the construction and implementation of a translation machine that creates impermanent and fleeting marks made only from the application of water to a dry surface. Inspired by the teachings of Zen Buddhism, these marks progressively disappear, briefly freeing the user from the pressure and responsibility of legacy and perfectionism.
